We are in for more dry weather, it looks like. We started planting spinach and salads, slowly. The focus, however, is on next Spring preparations of soil.
Got a gift two days ago, a small swarm of bees landed on one of our mulberry trees in the orchard, behind our apiary. We cut the small branch off and put it into a Lazutin trap we had lying around. The next day we borrowed a frame of brood/honey from another hive and put it into the trap. Now all we can do is wait and see if this late, small swarm survives the winter.
